Tineke: 'Barbiedolls, playmobil and dollhouses... They are too small for me, or I have grown too big for them. When I was little, I could entertain myself in the miniature-fantasy world for hours.
The simplicity of the miniature products, which I made myself as a kid, has got something invigorating: a drawer is a piece of wood with a hole in it, a handle is simply made from a nail. And a coat hanger is a matter of bending a paperclip.
Besides this, also the proportions of little cups, glasses, small chairs and tables - which are forced to be different, when produced at such a small size - were fascinating us.

To show the beauty of the miniature world, we scaled furniture and accessories back to the adult size. A real size dress-table with its rounded edges, unusual proportions and old-fashioned green coating looks like it belongs in a fairy-tale.
