2022 | The young furniture brand ‘They and Me’ asked us to design a set of trays made entirely of steel. They and Me was created from the established brand Bert Plantagie, allowing the younger brand to utilize BP’s production facilities in Europe. One of their techniques is to ‘fold’ steel, which is an enjoyable process for designers who like making scale models and can be easily simulated with paper. Tineke’s love for stationary, such as labels, notepads, tabs, and memo sheets, inspired the design process, which involved cutting, folding, and combining colors. The two sets of trays are based on the beautiful traditional cardboard tabs for ring binders, and their possible color combinations make them very suitable for styling.
