2008 | Dollhouses and Playmobil. Tineke entertained herself for hours in her fantasy world of miniature toys. As a designer, she now looks with different eyes to the interior of her dollhouse. “The miniature products which as a child I made myself, have a feeling of simplicity. A drawer is a piece of wood with a hole in it, the handle easily made from a nail. A clothes hanger is a matter of bending a paper clip, a pin is used as knitting needle. ‘Also the proportions of cups, glasses, pots, chairs, tables – which forced to be different if you want to produce them in such a small size – continued to excite Tineke. To show the beauty of it all, she increased the furniture into an adult size. She chose a dressing table with accessories, which she designed full size according to the design language of her dollhouse. The rounded shapes, unusual proportions and old-fashioned green coating give the dressing table fairy tale feel.
